Ever since I was a child, I have always loved art. Not just paintings or pictures. Culture, fashion, writing, music. Art is everywhere.

I am a sophomore in high school, and this is my first ever art class. I am not sure how I decided to choose photography, but I am glad I did. My art teacher told us during the first day of class that we will fail. Over and over again. I thought to myself, "How could I fail? It's just taking pictures". I have been in the class for a couple months now, and I have failed. Over and over again. But I love it. It makes me feel special, to be creating art. It is extremely rewarding.

Once you lose someone you love, you really start to understand the importance of photographs, because that is all you have left. Photographs are supposed to make you feel something. They are supposed to capture split seconds of a moment, but represent so much more than that. My goal is to take photographs that mean something to someone.
